About Founder
Mr. Swan Sohn sought a caree in life sciences to contribute to the human wellbeing. Combining a major in biochemistry and a career in managment consulting and medical devices, Mr. Sohn founded Panacea Company in 2020.
My Story
"I majored in biochemistry at Seoul National Unversity to develop cancer drugs. Hoping to find a business development career in a global biotech company, I began a career in management consulting and earned an MBA from Kellogg School of Management in the USA. I was led to the medical devices industry, starting from Stryker as Marketing & Business Development Director and moving to Samsung Medison, Samsung's medical device division and Intuitive Surgical as General Manager & Vice President in Korea. With the knowledge in diagnostics and surgical products, I invested in and helped a Korean start-up developing surgical staplers. Founding Panacea Company, I am using my knowledge and network to accelerate the market access and the marketing of innovative healthcare products."
